Narrative Documentation Assignment: Quest Area Assignment

Assignment: Create design documentation based off a given prompt, and introduce a new creature which suits the world. It should be detailed enough that it can be handed off to be modelled, animated, and properly added to the level without any additional input.

Reflection: Since we were instructed to create a quest area in an environment that shows both high-tech and magic, I decided to go with a mildly-steampunk approach using rusted automatons and machinery. I wanted to give a sense of unease to the player while dealing with this level, so I detailed information about how the enemy AI should interact with the player.

Considering the fact that there’s a chance to see more futuristic types of high-tech in the modern areas of this world, I thought using more outdated machinery in a game like this could leave more room for creativity in a ‘spooky’ setting.
