Reflection: When given this prompt, I noticed how it asked for the main character to be put into the ‘worst possible situation’. Since I wanted this to have an emotional impact on the player and to feel less forced, I decided to go with a heavily emotional-journey focused start.

I introduced multiple different themes in this first section of the classic ‘Hero’s Journey’ story, and gave small hints to how our main protagonist will need to grow, and how they are as a person using small decisions and lasting moments.
